Hungary

Hungary is a small country in the heart of Central Europe with 10 million inhabitants.

The topography of the country is mainly flat but there are mountain ranges of medium height on the north and west. There are 2 main rivers: the Danube and the Tisza.

The capital is Budapest with a population of 2 million people. It is separated into two parts: Buda on the right and Pest on the left, which is also where the city got it's name. The country is in the temperate zone and has a continental climate.

Hungary is a Republic and the head of state is the Prime Minister. Tourists come to visit and discover the rare flora and fauna of the national parks, explore its unique caves and bathe in famed healing waters of its spas. They view the scenery, visit churches, castles, museums, concert halls and savour the diverse flavours of Hungarian cuisine.
